Acorn Group are looking for a Senior Arboricultural Consultant or Arboricultural Consultant to join our expanding team. As one of our consultants you will deliver a wide variety of services. The Senior Consultant would support the Consultancy Manager in service delivery for Consultancy and Tree Surveying Operations within the UK. The services you will deliver or oversee include but are not limited to; tree condition surveys and associated reports, development site surveys including reports and method statements. Decay detection reports using our PiCUS3, Treetronic3 and Resistograph microdrill. De-compaction works and root investigation using our Air-Spade, plant health surveys for new pest and diseases. Climbing inspections for condition assessments and bat habitat scoping surveys. Veteran tree management, home buyers reports and woodland management plans.
The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver consultancy services to our clients, meeting the contract requirements. The Senior Arboricultural Consultant will have financial responsibility for their contracts, overseen by The Consultancy Manager and ensure that the all operations meet their individual objectives and contract specific objectives. This will include managing teams of arboricultural surveyors for large scale contracts. A key part of the role is to ensure all operations are delivered within our Compliance Frameworks and exceed our customers’ expectations.
Salary dependant on experience and qualifications, work vehicle and mobile phone provided (pension scheme offered to all employees)
We are looking for candidates holding a QCF Level 4 Qualification in Arboriculture as a minimum, ideally a Level 6 Qualification for the Senior role. A minimum of two years’ experience for the Consultant role and four years for the Senior providing consultancy services with the following additional qualifications and skills:
- LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector
- AA or ICF membership
- Excellent understanding of tree management software and GIS
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Software Systems
- Thorough knowledge of BS 5837:2012 and ability to advise on likely impacts of development on trees.
- Desire and passion to deliver services to an excellent standard
- Good project management and organisation skills
We have a diverse range of clients and operate throughout the UK. Your workload will be dependent on experience and skills however relevant training will be provided.
